Placenta Encapsulation

The placenta is an incredible organ — it nourished your baby, supported your pregnancy, and is full of life-giving goodness. Many cultures around the world have honoured the placenta for centuries, and encapsulating it is one way to continue that tradition — supporting your body as it heals and adjusts after birth.

Why encapsulate your placenta?

People choose placenta encapsulation for many reasons — physical, emotional, and spiritual. Some of the most commonly shared benefits include:

  • Feeling more balanced emotionally

  • A smoother postpartum recovery

  • Boosted energy and vitality

  • Help with milk supply and hormone regulation

  • Honouring the placenta as part of the birth journey

There’s no one-size-fits-all, and this is deeply personal. If it feels right for you, I’m here to hold that space and process with care and intention.

My process

I prepare each placenta with deep respect and attention. You can choose from:

  • Traditional method — gently steamed with warming herbs, then dehydrated and encapsulated

  • Raw method — dehydrated at a low temperature without steaming, for a more potent option

Everything is done in a clean, dedicated space, following food safety practices and using sterile equipment. Your capsules are returned to you in a beautiful jar, typically within 48–72 hours.

I also offer:

  • Umbilical cord keepsakes (dried in a heart or spiral shape)

  • Placenta prints (using natural inks or your own placenta’s imprint)

  • Tinctures on request

Pricing

Placenta encapsulation starts at $350, with optional add-ons available.
I offer flexible payment plans and am always open to chat if cost is a barrier — this work is about care and community first.

Booking & Pick-up

It’s best to book during your pregnancy so we can plan ahead. I’ll provide simple instructions and a storage kit to bring to your birth. I’ll collect your placenta as soon as possible after birth and return your capsules within a few days.

If this speaks to you, or if you’re curious and have questions, please reach out. This is a sacred process, and it’s an honour to be trusted with it.
